I've had troubles getting through, I transferred over to N.E then received a call from from my current provider offering me an even better deal before she allowed the transfer. I agreed to stay. Now I'm getting bills from N.E for a service they never provided.

25 Dec 2018It took three months for a new connection. It took them two months just to submit the correct paperwork. Without constant reminders I doubt they could have ever organized themselves enough to see the job through. All with poor communication and blame everywhere but with themselves. A sad review of a company that could easily do better

20 Jan 2019Changed to Next Business Energy as our power bills were out of control and NBE were 3% less (and Australian owned). Two months after switching we get a letter NBE saying our rates are going up 8%! Tried to negotiate with them but they don’t care.

30 Apr 2019I was overcharged by $3201.16.
I have been waiting since the 9th April for a refund into my bank account.
I've made numerous calls about this and yet still no refund.
Today I called and was told I had received a refund, which is a blatant lie because I have not received a refund into my account.
If this isn't rectified today I will be going to the ombudsman and seeking legal advice.

16 Nov 2018Customer Service is Appalling. I have been a customer for some years with multiple properties. I switched initially because I did a price comparison and thought it would be financially advantageous. Not unhappy with the prices. I found them very slow to activate new accounts and terrible at the other end when you wish to disconnect a property. I recently made a complaint to the ombudsman over a ridiculous request for certified copies of various info to just release a credit balance! No other elec company has such a policy. Yes I got the credit released but with virtually little or no empathy or understanding from the power company. I will not use them again.

To receive a refund the customer needs to provide 1 of 3 pieces of information (pre-printed deposit slip, a bank statement or certified bank letter). We take customer feedback seriously at Next Business Energy, therefore we will look into streamlining this process for customers in the future.

Obscene. If we try to put up our prices by that kind of margin we would lose every customer!

Updated 25 Aug 2021I have been with them for a couple of months and they have sent through two invoices for each month. Both times they have sent through an adjustment of several hundred dollars more. Do not use them they are shonks.

30 Jan 2019When I signed up with Next Energy for our Business electricity I was advised that I would be given a 30% discount. At no time was I advised verbally or in writing that this would be broken down with 15% pay on time and 15% at the end of 12 months! As soon as I get a chance I will be contacting the Ombudsman regarding this matter. There has been issues from the very beginning with Next Energy.

Can you please consider also emailing your customers about planned or even unscheduled portal outages rather than just posting it to a social media platform.
IMO the most valuable data within the portal is the daily usage data with its associated graphs that are downloadable in excel. Whilst I understand your comments that a customer can contact your 1300 number to get account details, pay accounts etc. I would suggest that getting granular daily usage data may not be as simple as a phone call.
The Next portal is a great asset for both Next and its customers, I personally use the usage data on a daily basis to fully understand my businesses energy dynamics.

Helped us with getting our Solar sorted when the solar company and previous energy company were useless. Only negative is they don't offer better prices unless you contact them and say other companies are chasing your business. Unfortunately that seems to be the normal thing for all energy companies. Would recommend changing as competitive pricing and great customer service.
